Position Summary The EHS Specialist is responsible for supporting day-to-day safety and environmental compliance across operations. This role leads inspections, incident response, permitting, training, and continuous improvement activities to reduce risk, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote a proactive safety culture.
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Perform safety and environmental audits, inspections, and observations.
Identify gaps in compliance and recommend corrective actions.
Collaborate with supervisors and managers to ensure safety and environmental goals are being met.
Stay current on industry regulations, best practices, and emerging technologies.
Serve as the primary case manager for all workplace safety incidents, injuries, and near misses. Coordinate and manage the incident response process and investigation from initial report through case closure.
Review and assist with content for Daily Toolbox Talks.
Attend Pre-Shift Meetings – review Toolbox Talk and Stretching Program.
Review and assist with content for safety and environmental training.
Perform audits and inspections of processes, equipment, and work practices.
Attend meetings as required.
File and track all records into systems.
Associate or bachelor's degree in safety, training, industrial engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years in training or safety roles within manufacturing or construction environments or equivalent education.
Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
Knowledge of OSHA standards and environmental management systems.
Ability to conduct audits and inspections.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
Indoor construction site with some outdoor yard use.
Exposure to varying weather conditions up to 10% of the time.Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, gloves, and safety glasses up to 100% of the time.
The salary range for this role is $60,000 – $75,000(Annually). Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, and candidate skill set and experience.
