Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Ohio Licensed Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across a variety of settings, including commercial, industrial, and construction sites. Duties
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, panels, and systems in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and electrical codes such as NEC (National Electrical Code).
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately execute electrical installations and repairs.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete electrical tasks on construction sites or renovation projects.
- Test electrical systems using tools like ohmmeters and multimeters to identify faults or issues related to low voltage or high voltage circuits.
- Maintain compliance with safety standards related to low voltage and high voltage systems while working on construction or renovation projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades such as frame carpentry or general contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Document work performed through detailed reports and logs; follow schematics and technical instructions meticulously.
- Assist with the setup of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for industrial automation processes when required.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on electrical equipment to prevent failures and extend lifespan.
- Contribute handyman skills for minor repairs or adjustments around the job site as needed.
- Proven experience as an electrician in industrial, commercial, or construction environments with a strong understanding of electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams; familiarity with NEC standards is essential.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers; power tools including drills and saws; as well as testing instruments like ohmmeters.
- Knowledge of low voltage systems alongside high voltage safety procedures is required.
- Experience working on construction sites or renovation projects; ability to adapt quickly in dynamic environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail when diagnosing electrical issues using diagnostic tools.
- Valid electrician license or certification as per local regulations; additional handyman or frame carpentry experience is a plus.
