The Richmond, VA office of Schnabel Engineering is seeking an Engineering Technician to join our growing practice. We are looking for a motivated candidate with attention to detail, a passion to continue to develop as a professional, and a desire to be part of a strong team.
Field observation and testing during placement of construction materials including soil, concrete, asphalt, masonry, and sprayed-on fireproofing
Soil and concrete laboratory testing
Possess good oral, written, communication, and organizational skills
Able to perform rudimentary mathematic computations
Interest in working outdoors on construction sitesCandidates must be able to lift pounds on an occasional basis and be physically able to negotiate construction sites, climb ladders and work outside.
Construction experience is preferred but not required
Ability to pass a background check which may include criminal history and motor vehicle record
Ability to pass a pre-employment employment drug screening The compensation range for an Engineering Technician is between $16/hr to $22/hr. Compensation for this position may vary based on geographic location and other factors.
