Position Title:

Enterprise Data Architect

Location:

Washington, DC

Duration: 6 months +

Job DescriptionThe CTO has at least three projects earmarked for this new team member that can expect the assignment to last at least 9-12 months, with the ability to convert to full-time, permanent employment.

Key responsibilities include:

Designing the Enterprise information architecture and data components of a Systems Development Lifecycle e.g. Entity relationship diagrams, Data flow diagrams, documenting external interfaces, Business Process and enterprise modeling/mapping artifacts to a data architecture framework; stratifying data for Data Management purposes.

Understand the existing business processes and build the TO BE Information architecture strategy at an enterprise level

Designing, deploying, reviewing, and maintaining conceptual, logical, and physical data models for OLTP, Data warehousing and Business Intelligence models

Perform data analysis activities including data profiling, creation of data dictionaries

Ideal backgrounds include:

At least 5 years experienced as a Data architect at Enterprise level for modernization initiatives, enabling an end-to-end data architecture journey

Good knowledge with industry standard modeling tool like Erwin to design and build data models

Knowledge on building a common data platform and designing APIs for data delivery

Knowledge on Enterprise service bus and enterprise messaging patterns

Knowledge on defining Enterprise ETL strategy and data integration framework for applications

Experience in industry standard ETL tool like Informatica

Analyze and manage both structured and unstructured data sets

Experience in relational database like Oracle and/or Aurora

Experience in NOSQL database like DynamoDB

Knowledge on AWS and their services

Knowledge of Enterprise Data Lake, Data Ingestion patterns and Data Discovery
