Job description
Strategic Sales – AI Data Center Power (U.S.)
(Hunter Sales | Focused on NVIDIA / Data Center Hyperscale Accounts | Technical Sales)
Position Overview
We are seeking a high-impact Strategic Sales / Data Center Ecosystem Business Development Leader to drive our AI Data Center power solutions (HVDC, server PSU, rack-level power) into the North American market.
This is a direct customer-facing, hunter sales role reporting to the Head of North America. The candidate must have a solid power hardware R&D background, leveraging hardware technical depth to drive sales, build trust at the customer’s technical decision-making level, and accelerate solution adoption.
Key responsibilities include
- Penetrate the NVIDIA ecosystem, hyperscale customers, and AI infrastructure companies
- Drive customer design-in / qualified-vendor-list opportunities at the server, rack, and data center levels
- Build a robust sales pipeline and convert it into revenue
Key Responsibilities
1.
Ecosystem
Penetration (Critical)
- Develop relationships within the NVIDIA ecosystem, including OEMs, partners, and AI infrastructure providers
- Engage with hyperscale customers and AI-native companies (e.g., CSPs, AI startups, HPC vendors)
- Participate in industry ecosystems such as the Open Compute Project (OCP)
- Design-In & Solution Selling
- Drive design-in of power solutions (PSU, HVDC, rack power) in the following areas:
◦ AI servers (GPU-based platforms)
◦ Rack-level and data center infrastructure
- Work closely with customers on:
◦ Power architecture
◦ Efficiency / TCO optimization
◦ System-level integration
- Leverage power hardware R&D background to deeply understand customer technical pain points in power device selection, power topology, PCB design, and thermal management; provide professional-grade hardware technical guidance at the solution selection stage to build technical trust and accelerate the design-in process
3.
Key Account
Development
- Identify and penetrate target customers:
◦ Server OEMs (e.g., Supermicro, Dell, HPE)
◦ Hyperscalers and Cloud Service Providers (CSPs)
◦ AI infrastructure providers
- Own the full sales cycle:
◦ Opportunity creation → Technical alignment → Negotiation → Close
4.
Pipeline
Management & Execution
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of AI infrastructure opportunities
- Convert prospects into qualified projects and drive design wins
- Collaborate with marketing/events teams (e.g., GTC, OCP) to generate leads
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with:
◦ FAE / Engineering teams (technical validation & customer support)
◦ Product / HQ teams (roadmap alignment & customization)
- Provide market feedback to influence product direction
Qualifications
Required
- 2+ years of work experience with hands-on power R&D background (power device selection, power topology design, PCB layout, EMC design, and power reliability testing); degree in Power Electronics; career path transitioning from hardware R&D into sales
- Currently in a Sales, AE (Application Engineer), EE (Electrical Engineer), or FAE role
- Based in the U.S., preferably in the Bay Area
- Chinese American / of Chinese descent, familiar with the North American market
- ※ This role is fundamentally positioned as a “sales professional with a power R&D background.” The top priority is power technical depth and drive; commercial skills need not be strong—technical understanding is the #1 criterion.
- Proven track record of design wins or complex enterprise sales (not purely distribution/channel sales)
- Experience in any of the following:
◦ NVIDIA ecosystem
◦ Hyperscale / Cloud Service Providers
◦ Server OEMs
Preferred
- Existing relationships with:
◦ AI infrastructure companies
◦ OEM or hyperscale account teams
- Familiarity with:
◦ GPU servers / AI clusters
◦ Data center power architecture (HVDC, PSU, rack-level power)
- Power hardware system-level design experience; familiar with power topologies (LLC, phase-shifted full-bridge, BUCK/BOOST, etc.), power devices (SiC/GaN/MOSFET), efficiency optimization, and thermal design
Talent Profile
- High drive – a fighter who can open doors and push deals forward
- Comfortable with early-stage market development (0-to-1)
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders
- Ability to work in a highly autonomous, fast-paced environment
What We Expect
Not a pure channel sales role
Not a pure management role
Not a passive account-maintenance role
Not a pure engineering role — must have sales closure capability
This is a hands-on, deal-driving, ecosystem-penetrating role. We are looking for a technical sales professional with a power R&D foundation, high drive, and the ability to close deals.
Why Join Us
- Opportunity to shape the next generation of AI data center power architecture
- Direct access to the NVIDIA ecosystem and hyperscale customer market
- Work closely with leadership in a high-impact, fast-growing environment
