Sunshine Schools is seeking a highly qualified CACFP Food Program Coordinator to oversee and manage our North Carolina CACFP operations across multiple early childhood education locations.
This role is ideal for someone who already understands how CACFP works in North Carolina and takes pride in accuracy, organization, and compliance.
We are looking for a professional who can work independently, follow systems, and ensure our food program runs smoothly and audit-ready at all times.
About the RoleAs the CACFP Food Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration and compliance of our food program.
This is a hands-on, detail-driven role that supports kitchen teams, leadership, and vendors while protecting program integrity.
Manage and maintain CACFP income eligibility forms for multiple school locations
Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate and timely food orders
Communicate directly with food vendors regarding ordering, delivery, and documentation
Track and organize receipts, invoices, and meal counts using company systems
Ensure ongoing North Carolina CACFP compliance and audit readiness
Maintain clear, organized documentation and flag issues proactively
Demonstrated experience with the North Carolina CACFP program
Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
Ability to manage deadlines and multiple sites independently
Comfortable working with digital systems, shared drives, and documentation workflows
Clear, professional communicator who follows established standards
Experience in childcare, early childhood education, or school nutrition programs is strongly preferred.
Schedule & Compensation
Part-time: 20–25 hours per week
Approximately 5 hours per day
