Full Stack Angular Developer (Application Modernization)
Prudent Technology is seeking a talented Full Stack Angular Developer to join our federal application modernization team. This role will help transform mission-critical legacy applications built with Apache Struts, Oracle ADF/JSF, Java 8, Oracle Database, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux into secure, cloud-native applications running on AWS using Angular, Spring Boot, Java 21, PostgreSQL, IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE), and the U.S.
Web Design
System (USWDS) 3.0.The ideal candidate enjoys building modern user interfaces, developing scalable APIs, UX designs and collaborating with architects, engineers, and business analysts in an Agile environment.

What You'll Do
As a Full Stack Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain modern web applications supporting federal business processes, workflow automation, reporting, and data management.You will participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle including architecture, development, testing, deployment, modernization, and production support.
Key Responsibilities
Front-End Development (70%)
- Design and develop responsive web applications using Angular (v18+).
- Implement modern user interfaces following U.S.
Web Design
System (USWDS) 3.0 standards.
- Ensure compliance with Section 508 Accessibility and WCAG 2.1 AA requirements.
- Modernizing Oracle ADF/JSF user interfaces into responsive Angular web applications.
- Build reusable Angular components, services, directives, and shared modules.
- Develop responsive layouts using HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript.
- Integrate front-end applications with RESTful APIs and backend microservices.
- Optimize application performance, usability, and cross-browser compatibility.
Back-End Development (30%)
- Develop enterprise applications using Java 21 and Spring Boot.
- Build secure REST APIs and microservices.
- Develop business logic, validation, and service layers.
- Integrate applications with PostgreSQL databases.
- Develop API integrations using IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE).
- Participate in data migration activities from Oracle to PostgreSQL.
Application Modernization
- Modernize legacy Oracle ADF/JSF and Apache Struts applications into Angular-based user interfaces.
- Refactor legacy Java 8 code into modern Java 21 and Spring Boot services.
- Support migration of Oracle databases to PostgreSQL.
- Improve maintainability through modular architecture and reusable components.
Collaboration
- Work closely with Architects, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, and Product Owners.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Prepare technical documentation and participate in code reviews.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement enhancements.
Experience
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
- 5 8 years of full-stack application development experience.
- 5+ Experience developing enterprise web applications using Angular and Java.
- Experience working in Agile software development environments.
