Requirements
Must have:
- We require a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a licensed Professional Engineer credential.
- We need 4–7 years of professional engineering experience, with broad exposure to regulations, standards, codes, methods, practices, and advanced engineering principles for highly complex or specialized work.
- We expect the ability to analyze and interpret intricate electrical and mechanical systems.
- We look for strong problem-solving skills and the ability to apply engineering theory effectively.
- We require knowledge of engineering designs, principles, and best practices.
- We expect familiarity with complex field test equipment.
- We value at least two related career experiences, an Engineer in Training credential, or completion of 50% of an advanced technical degree, MBA, or project management certification.
- We prefer a graduate degree or graduate-level coursework in engineering, business administration, or project management certification.
- We prefer a licensed Professional Engineer credential.
- We value strong teamwork, interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate across all management levels.
- We prefer excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- We execute reliability engineering programs by turning approved engineering strategies, designs, and priorities into actionable scopes, schedules, and technical work plans.
- We coordinate cross-functional execution across Operations, Field, Construction & Maintenance, T&S Engineering, and other groups to address technical constraints, sequencing issues, constructability concerns, and operational impacts.
- We develop and maintain execution documents such as scopes of work, engineering summaries, work strategies, field guidance, readiness materials, and post-execution records.
- We monitor delivery progress for assigned reliability initiatives, identify risks, dependencies, and gaps, and recommend corrective actions or escalations.
- We provide technical support during implementation by resolving field issues and supporting installation, testing, and commissioning to ensure alignment with engineering direction.
- We perform engineering work on critical projects or multiple smaller projects with complex requirements.
- We handle assignments in areas where engineering precedents are limited or require broad experience.
- We develop and implement projects with moderate financial and operational impact.
- We may serve as a subject matter expert and deliver classroom or on-the-job training when needed.
- We may influence decisions on projects with moderate company impact, including leading employees or contractors during commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.
- We apply technical expertise to support a safe work environment and improve customer satisfaction.
- We review financial data related to project budgets and actual costs.
- We may work extended hours during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.
