Requirements

Must have:

- Bachelors degree in a relevant field such as Aerospace, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Understanding of guidance, navigation, and control (GN&C) principles through education or work experience.
  • Proficiency in developing analysis methodologies and testing scenarios for GN&C software behaviors.
  • Ability to read and interpret code in C/C , Java, or similar programming languages.
  • Capability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent soft skills including professionalism, work ethic, creativity, curiosity, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
  • Experience in team collaboration while managing individual tasks and progression.
  • Familiarity with static code analysis, software system testing, requirements analysis, and modeling tools like MATLAB/Simulink is a plus.
  • Knowledge of space systems and subsystems including propulsion, command and data handling, and fault management is advantageous.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct systems and software engineering activities for GN&C and associated fields applicable to NASA spacecraft and launch vehicles.
  • Analyze operational concepts, requirements, and software design elements at various stages of the software development lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain documentation to support technical understanding, issue identification, and reporting standards.
  • Evaluate development artifacts for accuracy, consistency, and feasibility in relation to technical specifications.
  • Participate in reviewing both draft and final products for peer feedback and formal testing phases.
  • Formulate and execute independent test plans to validate key mission capabilities.
  • Utilize proprietary AI tools to conduct analyses and verify findings.
  • Collaborate with team members to share insights, enhance methodologies, and provide constructive recommendations.
