The Role
We are looking for a Security Implementation Engineer who enjoys solving real security and infrastructure problems across different environments.
This role is highly hands-on. You will work directly inside client environments implementing technical changes required to meet security and compliance requirements. One week you might be:
- Standing up Microsoft GCC High with Entra ID and Intune
- Enforcing USB and device control policies through Intune
- Implementing DLP policies in Microsoft Purview and Azure Information Protection (AIP)
- Hardening servers using DISA STIG baselines and/or CIS Benchmarks • Deploying Tenable or similar toolstos to scan, track, and manage STIG compliance and vulnerability management • Configuring Azure security policies to enforce server configuration baselines
- Implementing Microsoft Sentinel SIEM and building detection pipelines
- Deploying CrowdStrike and other security tooling across endpoints
- Building Terraform infrastructure for AWS or Azure environments
- Supporting environments operating in DoD Impact Level (IL) or air-gapped architectures

Deploy security stack in various environments
Design, architect and then install and configure security toolsets.
Maintain and develop user guides, processes and standards that supplement compliance teams.
Implement technical security controls required for frameworks such as: NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, PCI-DSS Work with Ignyte’s experts to translate compliance requirements into real system configurations
Implement remediation items identified during security assessments and pre-audits. Cloud & Identity Security
Deploy and secure environments in:
Microsoft GCC High / Azure Government, AWS or GCP, Hybrid environments
Implement identity and endpoint security using: Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, Zero Trust architecture, Microsoft Intune device management, MAC OS device management using Kanji, Jamf or similar Example implementations:
Intune USB device control enforcement
Endpoint compliance policies
Secure device configuration baselines Data Protection & Insider Risk
Implement Microsoft data protection capabilities including: Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Azure Information Protection (AIP), Data classification and protection policies, Endpoint DLP enforcement, Implement and tune Data classification engines Logging, Detection & Monitoring
Deploy and configure security monitoring platforms such as: Microsoft Sentinel SIEM/Crowdstrike/Splunk/etc. Centralized logging pipelines, Alerting and detection rules, Dashboards and reports, Security event correlation Systems & Infrastructure Hardening
Secure infrastructure across Windows, MacOS, Linux, and cloud systems.
Key work includes: DISA STIG hardening, Configuration baseline enforcement, Conditional access policy builds, Network segmentation and firewall rules, Secure server configuration in Azure and AWS Vulnerability Management
Implement vulnerability scanning and compliance tracking tools such as: Tenable, Crowdstrike, Rapid7, Defender DevSecOps & Infrastructure Automation
Support modern infrastructure environments including: Terraform, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, Secure CI/CD pipelines, Integrate security into DevOps workflows and automate secure infrastructure deployment. Automation & Scripting
Automate infrastructure and security tasks using scripting languages such as: Python, PowerShell, Ansible, Bash, etc… High Security & Government Environments
Work with organizations operating in high-security environments including: FedRAMP cloud environments, DoD Impact Level (IL) architectures, Air-gapped systems & Defense Industrial Base infrastructure What We’re Looking For Core Technical Background | Strong experience in systems engineering, cloud engineering, or security engineering, including:
Windows and/or Linux administration
Networking fundamentals
Identity and access management
Cloud infrastructure
Advance Scripting and/or Programming experience Cloud & Microsoft Security Stack
Experience with some combination of:
Azure / Azure Government
Microsoft GCC High
Microsoft Intune
Microsoft Entra ID
Microsoft Purview &
Defender
Microsoft Sentinel Security Engineering Experience
Experience implementing security technologies such as:
Endpoint detection and response (EDR)
Vulnerability management platforms
Security monitoring and SIEM

Proficiency in Software Implementation and Project Implementation to deliver high-quality solutions that meet client requirements.
Strong skills in Technical Support and Customer Service to resolve client issues and ensure a positive user experience.
Experience in Project Management to track milestones, manage resources, and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
Familiarity with GRC frameworks and cybersecurity standards is a bonus.
Ability to work independently in a remote work environment with minimal supervision.
