Java Architect - Cloud and Microservices

Requirements

Must have:

- Strong hands-on experience with Java (versions 8/11/17+) - Expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Security - Extensive background in API integration and API gateways (e.g., Apigee, Kong, MuleSoft, AWS API Gateway, Azure API Management) - Solid understanding of microservices architecture - Proficiency in REST, JSON, OAuth2, JWT, and OpenID Connect - Strong knowledge of integration patterns (synchronous/asynchronous, event-driven, messaging) - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) - Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes - Knowledge of CI/CD processes (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) - Experience with observability tools (logging, monitoring, tracing) - Proficient in SQL and NoSQL databases - Familiarity with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ) - Understanding of eventual consistency and distributed transactions

Responsibilities:

- Define the complete architecture for Java-based applications with a focus on API-led integration - Design and oversee RESTful APIs (and GraphQL if applicable) utilizing industry best practices (OpenAPI/Swagger) - Lead integration efforts with both internal and external systems, third-party services, and partner APIs - Establish standards for API security, versioning, throttling, monitoring, and lifecycle management - Architect systems based on microservices using Spring Boot and Spring Cloud - Advise on scalability, resiliency, performance, and fault tolerance best practices - Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD, containerization, and cloud deployment strategies - Evaluate designs, code, and integration methodologies to ensure they meet architectural standards - Mentor developers and technical leads; serve as a technical thought leader - Work closely with business stakeholders to translate their needs into technical solutions
