$55/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Java Backend Developer Job Responsibilities Include
Develop and maintain high‑performance, scalable backend systems using Java, applying strong knowledge of design patterns and data structures.
Design, implement, and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices to support distributed application architectures.
Work with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL stores (Cassandra) to ensure efficient data modeling and retrieval.
Collaborate with front‑end teams to support integration with modern JavaScript frameworks and ensure seamless end‑to‑end functionality.
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following industry best practices and coding standards.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues while contributing to continuous improvement in a fast‑paced environment.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
7+ years of experience in designing, building, and maintaining scalable Java backend systems.
Strong expertise in developing RESTful APIs and microservices, with hands‑on experience across relational and NoSQL databases.
Proficiency in Java, TypeScript/ES6, and modern JavaScript frameworks, with proven ability to write clean, maintainable code in fast‑paced environments.
