# Software Engineer

## About the Role

Veeva Systems is looking for multiple Software Engineers to build cloud-based features and products in a fast-paced engineering environment within a stable, profitable company. Software Engineers contribute to the technical design and implementation of product features across various Veeva products.

You will work in rapid development sprints with a highly motivated team, solving complex technical challenges that impact how critical treatments and medicines reach patients. The role is suited to self-starters with experience across a variety of engineering projects, particularly in enterprise software development or high-growth technology environments.

## Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and deliver cloud-based features and products.
• Build robust and scalable application architectures.
• Write clean, testable, and readable code using design patterns and object-oriented principles.
• Create rich user experiences.
• Develop quality code with strong unit and integration test coverage.
• Work collaboratively with engineering teams in a team environment.
• Mentor junior developers and help improve team capabilities.
• Contribute to technical design and implementation of product features.

## Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with Java, preferably in an enterprise cloud software environment.
• Proven ability to write clean, testable, and readable code in a team environment.
• Hands-on experience with open-source and related technologies, including:
• Spring
• MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Hibernate

• Jenkins
• Mockito

• Kubernetes
• Proven mentoring experience and a record of helping improve team capabilities.
• Unrestricted right to work in the United States.

## Preferred Qualifications

• Experience across the full technology stack, including mobile, UI, backend, and integration.
• Experience with patient-facing, clinical trial, or life sciences software.
• Experience with HIPAA-related software or environments.

## Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $85,000–$225,000

Actual salary may vary within or outside the stated range based on experience, location, qualifications, and expected contributions. The position may also be eligible for additional compensation, including variable bonus and/or stock bonus.
