Join our AI Infrastructure - Network Operations team at OCI, where you'll be pivotal in supporting and operating the RDMA/RoCE network fabrics that underpin Oracle Cloud Infrastructure's (OCI) cutting-edge AI and HPC services for our largest customers. If AI workloads are running on OCI, our network is powering them behind the scenes.

As a Lead Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, deployment, and support of a vast global Oracle cloud computing environment. Your expertise will primarily focus on the RDMA/RoCE network systems, leveraging a solid understanding of networking and automation to ensure smooth operations in a dynamic production environment. With OCI's expansive global presence, you'll be managing hundreds of thousands of network devices that support millions of servers interconnected through dedicated backbone infrastructure and the Internet.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage network lifecycle programs, setting high-level objectives and defining delivery procedures.
• Organize project milestones and tasks, acting as a technical lead when coordinating with a team of engineers.
• Serve as a technical subject matter expert (SME) with cross-functional teams and provide guidance on complex projects.
• Transform high-level architectures into detailed designs while ensuring comprehensive documentation.
• Manage multiple engineers to develop intricate network solutions with various components and maintain effective communication with service teams for support.
• Act as the principal point of contact for complex network issue resolutions and provide support during large-scale events.
• Contribute to root cause analysis efforts and frequently develop scripts to automate intricate tasks.
• Play a key role in the technical design and delivery of network automation projects.
• Provide mentorship and coaching to junior staff, helping them develop their technical skills.
• Collaborate with vendors to address operational issues while leading the adoption of new vendor hardware as needed.
• Engage with product teams to align technology with product and service requirements, facilitating communication and assessment of gaps and solutions.
