Requirements
Must have:
- We require a bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience.
- We are looking for at least 5 years of hands-on experience with Linux operating systems, including virtualized environments.
- Strong scripting ability in Python, Ruby, Perl, or similar languages is essential.
- Experience with Ping, SSO, and certificate administration is needed.
- You should understand automation technologies and Linux scripting practices.
- Experience installing, configuring, and supporting services such as BIND, Apache, MySQL, and Nginx is required.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Puppet and Chef is expected.
- Background in application support, web technologies, APIs, and microservices is required.
- Working knowledge of databases such as MS SQL, Oracle, or DB2 is needed.
- We value strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
- You should be self-driven, with a focus on automation and continuous learning.
- Preferred experience includes cloud computing and open-source application platforms such as WordPress or Drupal.
- A masters degree in computer science, information technology, or a related discipline is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- We will have you install, configure, and maintain servers in Linux environments.
- You will develop and implement backup and disaster recovery plans.
- You will monitor Linux server health through both automated and manual methods.
- You will design, build, and maintain monitoring and reporting solutions using scripts such as Bash and PowerShell.
- You will perform server hardware maintenance and upgrades.
- You will help create test automation frameworks with team members and partner groups.
- You will develop tools that improve infrastructure functionality and efficiency.
- You will maintain software repositories and apply software updates.
- You will document procedures, configurations, and programs to support operations.
