Requirements
Must have:
- We require a bachelors degree in computer science or a related field, along with 4 to 6 years of professional experience as a systems administrator or in a similar technical position.
- We look for a proactive self-starter with a positive, collaborative mindset and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- We need at least 2 years of experience with Amazon Web Services, including services such as S3, EC2, and Reserved Instances.
- We expect familiarity with systems engineering documentation, such as network diagrams and data flow materials.
- We value experience using Agile collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
- We require a strong Linux background and a solid understanding of infrastructure management best practices.
- An active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph is preferred.
- Preferred experience includes Oracle COTS products such as Oracle Access Manager and Oracle Unified Directory.
- Preferred experience includes Kubernetes.
- Preferred experience includes Elastic tools such as Elasticsearch, Kibana, and Logstash.
- Preferred experience includes AWS and other cloud platforms.
- Preferred experience includes managing AWS performance and cost optimization.
- Preferred experience includes cloud-based architectures.
- Preferred experience includes familiarity with cross-domain architectures at various levels.
- Preferred experience includes automated testing and monitoring.
- Preferred experience includes working with Engineering Review Boards and change management processes.
Responsibilities:
- We design, develop, and support cloud initiatives aligned with customer needs.
- We communicate operational issues as they arise, mitigate disruptions, and work to identify root causes of recurring baseline problems.
- We analyze user metrics, system health, and overall performance, and take proactive steps to maintain operational availability.
- We provide deployment support as a product subject matter expert and assist with backfill tasks and troubleshooting script- or playbook-based automation.
- We manage multiple Linux environments, support the program broadly, and partner with Enterprise Services to help ensure compliance with security services and applications.
