• *About The Role**

We are seeking an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to join our Core Automation Team at Coinbase. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing AI infrastructure and automation solutions that enhance operational efficiency, support customer support and compliance teams, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. Your expertise will be pivotal in applying advanced machine learning techniques, including large language models and deep learning, to solve complex challenges across our organization. You will collaborate closely with management and stakeholders to define strategic roadmaps, translate them into actionable plans, and drive the execution of innovative projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in designing, building, and maintaining scalable, secure AI-powered systems, with a passion for shaping the future of AI-driven customer interactions and cryptocurrency adoption.

• *Qualifications
• 8+ years of experience in machine learning and software engineering.
• Proven expertise in designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services with a focus on data processing, machine learning, and analytics.
• Hands-on experience with at least one ML model type, such as large language models (LLMs), GNNs, Deep Learning, Logistic Regression, or Gradient Boosting Trees.
• Proficiency in data mining, information retrieval, advanced statistics, natural language processing, or computer vision.
• Ability to write high-quality, well-tested code that effectively addresses customer needs.
• Experience mentoring and developing junior engineers, establishing processes, and setting high standards for excellence.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a commitment to transparency and collaborative culture.

• Explore, develop, and apply advanced machine learning techniques to solve organizational challenges.
• Collaborate with management and stakeholders to define strategic AI roadmaps and translate them into quarterly plans.

• Develop high-quality, well-tested Python code to address critical business and product needs.
• Design scalable, secure AI/ML systems using industry best practices and cutting-edge technologies.
• Mentor team members on design principles, coding standards, and AI productivity tools adoption.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to enhance system reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
• Conduct thorough reviews to ensure the security, scalability, and architectural integrity of AI features and solutions.
