About the Role:

We are looking for an ML Engineer Intern to support the development and implementation of AI-powered features under the guidance of the ML Lead. This is a hands-on, learning-focused role for someone who wants practical experience working on machine learning and NLP use cases in a team environment. The intern will help implement solutions for similarity scoring, transcription services, summarization, and auto-tagging while learning how AI systems are built, tested, and improved in a real-world setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work under the direction of the ML Lead to implement assigned AI and ML tasks
• Help build features related to similarity scoring, transcription, summarization, and auto-tagging
• Assist with integrating AI services and APIs into workflows and applications
• Support data preparation, cleaning, labeling, and preprocessing for AI tasks
• Use Python and relevant ML/NLP libraries to support implementation work
• Test outputs and help evaluate accuracy, quality, and performance of AI features
• Document implementation details, workflows, and technical findings
• Participate in team meetings, reviews, and collaborative development activities
• Learn best practices in machine learning delivery, experimentation, and model support

Required Skills:

• Basic programming knowledge, preferably in Python
• Foundational understanding of machine learning, AI, or NLP concepts
• Familiarity with text processing, data handling, or model evaluation concepts
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to follow technical direction and implement assigned tasks carefully
• Willingness to learn new tools, services, and frameworks
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

Education Requirement:

• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Machine Learning, Mathematics, or a related field
• Exposure to NLP, LLMs, speech-to-text, summarization, or classification projects through coursework or personal projects
• Familiarity with Python libraries such as Pandas, scikit-learn, Transformers, or similar
• Exposure to cloud AI services or model APIs
• Participation in hackathons, internships, research, or academic team projects
