Job description

Material Coordinator – Manufacturing Location: Everett, WA The Material Coordinator ensures accurate material flow throughout the manufacturing process by maintaining inventory accuracy, executing material movements, and supporting production with timely, well‑presented materials. This role is critical to sustaining Lean operations, supporting FBS tools, and enabling efficient production performance.

Key Responsibilities Material Flow & Inventory Accuracy Maintain inventory accuracy by performing physical counts and executing transactions in Oracle.

Reconcile discrepancies and escalate unresolved issues to the Planner/Buyer or Supervisor.

Order materials as defined by the Planner/Buyer and ensure timely replenishment.

Transfer inventory between receiving, production, MRB, and distribution center locations.

Material

Presentation & Line Support De-trash, stage, and present materials to production areas in a clean, organized, operator‑ready format.

Sustain and improve material presentation within production cells using FBS tools, including Fortive Material System (FMS) and 5S.

Use pallet jacks and other approved equipment to safely move materials throughout the facility.

Expedite internal material requirements to prevent shortages and support continuous production flow. Data Collection & Reporting Collect, analyze, and report data from production processes using basic mathematical skills.

Count, sort, label, and package assembled materials as required.

Support material planning activities, policy deployment, and execution of material‑related plans.

Continuous

Improvement Participate in Lean and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance material flow, reduce waste, and improve process reliability.

Identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to problem-solving activities.

Qualifications Minimum of 1–2 years of related experience in materials, inventory, or manufacturing operations.

Experience in a Lean or continuous improvement manufacturing environment preferred.

Prior experience with material flow, Kanban systems, or replenishment processes strongly preferred.

Experience working with Oracle or similar ERP systems preferred.

Ability to safely operate pallet jacks and perform physical material handling tasks.

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to accuracy.
