Requirements
Must have:
- Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline - 2+ years of professional experience - 2+ years of experience in testing, operations, program management, or design and analysis of complex systems - Proven ability to work as an extreme owner under pressure and deliver timely, reliable results across multiple priorities - Experience with launch vehicles or spacecraft - Background in engaging and presenting to external customers, preferably US Government - Understanding of US Government launch vehicle requirements - Familiarity with US Government testing standards and specifications - Experience collaborating with and managing cross-functional teams and external stakeholders - Detail-oriented and diligent with strong customer interface skills - Excellent written and verbal communication abilities - Prior experience through all stages of the engineering lifecycle, from conception to testing and release - Experience in requirements development, verification, and validation
Responsibilities:
- Generate Interface Control Documents for external vehicle interfaces and payloads, collaborating with SpaceX and Government teams to verify payload requirements - Work with SpaceX technical departments to create design, analysis, and test data packages, along with briefings for government representatives - Organize and lead program milestone reviews, technical interchange meetings, and regular working group sessions - Ensure that contract deliverables are provided on schedule and meet customer expectations, including overseeing payment milestones - Identify and develop handling plans for technical issues impacting customer requirements, driving them to resolution - Collaborate closely with SpaceX technical teams to create technical rationales and mitigate technical risks, ensuring on-time product deliveries - Maintain configuration control of certified flight configurations, coordinating government approval for engineering changes - Support the creation and execution of operations concepts for successful integration and launch of customer satellites - Assist in various customer activities, including mission integration, launch operations, program scheduling, and proposal support
