.NET Developer

Requirements

Must have:

- We are looking for strong C# and .NET experience, with genuine comfort working in older .NET Framework codebases rather than only .NET Core or .NET 5+.

• We want experience with ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, and SQL Server.
• We value familiarity with Azure App Service and Azure WebJobs, or equivalent experience with background jobs and scheduled tasks.
• We need someone who is comfortable understanding and improving an existing, moderately complex codebase instead of building from scratch.
• We prefer basic front-end capability with jQuery, Bootstrap, and SCSS; familiarity with TypeScript is a plus.
• We are looking for experience integrating REST APIs, with eBay API experience considered a strong advantage.
• We need someone who is self-directed and comfortable with part-time, flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities:

- We will rely on you to maintain and enhance our order and listing management platform built on ASP.NET MVC 5, .NET Framework 4.7, Entity Framework 6, and SQL Server.

• You will support the Azure WebJobs that automate eBay listing submission, ending, and other scheduled processing.
• You will investigate and resolve issues across the application and connected systems using our existing ELMAH error-logging tools.
• You will work with the eBay API, shipping and postage services such as USPS, UPS, and Endicia, as well as PayPal.
• You will help modernize and improve a long-running, proven codebase by strengthening performance, maintainability, and adding new capabilities as our business expands.
• You will contribute to front-end updates using jQuery, Bootstrap 4, SCSS/gulp, and some TypeScript, and support deployments through our GitHub Actions to Azure App Service pipeline, with occasional work on our Squarespace-hosted public site.

Company:

We maintain an actively used .NET Framework and ASP.NET MVC 5 web application that powers our eBay listing pipeline, order and inventory management, and shipping workflows on Azure App Service. This role is well suited to a developer who enjoys taking ownership of a real production system with some age on it and working part-time with flexible hours.

We offer paid time off, hourly pay in the range of $45.00 to $55.00, and a hybrid remote work arrangement based in Concord, NH 03301.
