Requirements
Must have:
- We bring a strong grounding in networking fundamentals, including routing and switching.
We have 5–7 years of relevant professional experience.
We work hands-on with TCP/IP, VLANs, STP, CDP, LACP, BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, and EIGRP.
We have experience configuring IPv4 and IPv6.
We understand fiber-optic infrastructure well.
We have worked with Cisco, Juniper, and/or Arista network platforms.
We have supported service provider, WAN, or large enterprise network environments.
We have experience with troubleshooting or automation scripting using Python, Linux/Unix shell, JSP, Ruby, or Perl.
We have field experience in PoPs, metro networks, colocation sites, or enterprise settings.
We communicate clearly and collaborate effectively.
Certifications such as CompTIA, CCNA/JNCIP, or CCNP/JNCIP are considered an advantage.
Responsibilities:
- We support network provisioning, PoP deployments, maintenance, and upgrade work.
We carry out circuit turn-ups, device setup, testing, deployment, and decommissioning.
We troubleshoot issues across peering, transit, transport, and circuit connectivity, escalating to subject matter experts when required.
We investigate interoperability, configuration, and performance problems across the network infrastructure.
We verify cross-connects, coordinate circuits, and validate optical power levels before commissioning.
We maintain and audit patch panel inventory across the PoPs in scope.
We track network asset inventory and firmware compliance.
We work with network engineering, vendors, and logistics teams to integrate new equipment.
We help deliver project timelines for network turn-ups and expansion efforts.
We monitor request and incident queues to support timely resolution.
We contribute to documentation, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts.
We provide flexible support coverage across both on-site and remote operations.

We are hiring a Network Circuit Provisioning and Operations Engineer to support large-scale, high-availability network operations for one of our top tech clients in the Bay Area. This role is based in San Mateo, CA and combines hands-on field work with remote operational support. You will work closely with our engineering, vendor, and logistics partners to support provisioning, deployments, and ongoing network reliability.
