Network Engineer - Int
CO - Denver , MN - Minneapolis (Denver Preffered)
Applies advanced networking concepts in the analysis, study, and design of data networks. Analyzes network characteristics (e.g., traffic, connect time, transmission speeds, packet sizes, and throughput) and recommends modifications to network components.
Designs and optimizes network topologies and site configurations.
Plans installations, transitions, and cutovers of network components and capabilities.
Resolves network problems to obtain operation access to platforms/applications.
This contractor will be part of the Dark Fiber and NSP/PSCO SONET projects and will focus on providing the building of the low-level design and implementation of the new Ciena equipment and the management and handover of the Ciena monitoring solution called MCP.
The contractor will also learn our existing environment to help make further changes based on lessons learned from these projects and to guarantee we have one overall design.
op 3-5 skills in a qualified candidate? Cisco/Ciena and engineering in networking experience.
