Location Las Vegas NV About SwitchAt Switch we dont just design build and operate data centerswe are enabling the technology of the future Led by Founder & CEO Rob Roy we believe in revolutionary innovation operational excellence and the principle of karma Switch is where talented people come together to EVOLVE the digital world We believe that innovation isnt just about technologyits about the people culture and purpose that make it happen Every Switch team member contributes to a mission greater than themselves to create the worlds most advanced digital infrastructure that powers the progress of humanity The Role Network Infrastructure SupervisorThis role leads the day to day execution of network infrastructure operations within a Switch data center You supervise technicians on shift ensure work is completed safely and correctly and act as the first point of escalation for operational issues Your focus is consistency service quality and keeping the team aligned to established processes in a 247 environment What Youll DoSupervise daily work for Network Infrastructure Technicians and ensure tasks are completed according to procedure Serve as the first escalation point for urgent network infrastructure issues during assigned shifts Ensure consistent use of policies procedures and safety standards Perform quality checks on completed work and address gaps in execution or documentation Support shift scheduling and coverage planning to meet operational demand Track and document basic performance metrics and provide updates to management Interpret and respond to mission critical alerts escalating issues when required Ensure tools test equipment and materials are available maintained and inventoried Provide hands on coaching and on the job training for technicians Support interviewing onboarding and ramp up of new team members Maintain cleanliness and organization of network spaces including meet me rooms and IDFs Travel locally or domestically when required to support business needs What Were Looking ForYou are comfortable directing day to day work and making routine operational decisions You communicate clearly especially during incidents or escalations You hold people accountable to standards while remaining fair and consistent You stay calm under pressure and focus on resolution rather than blame You support your team by removing obstacles and reinforcing good habits What Youll BringRequired 2 years of experience in a supervisory or team lead role Background in network infrastructure data center operations or IT support Working knowledge of structured cabling standards power cooling and fault tolerance Ability to troubleshoot hardware and layer 1 connectivity issues Experience supervising technical staff in a shift based environment Ability to work nights weekends or rotating shifts as needed Clear written and verbal communication skills Experience using ticketing and monitoring systems Preferred CompTIA A Network or Security certification Experience with terminal access tools such as PuTTY or SSH Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Syslog Nagios or similar platforms Cisco or other role relevant certifications Working Conditions and RequirementsOn site work in secure data center environments Ability to work in non office temperature conditions Ability to safely lift and move equipment using proper tools and procedures Willingness to follow and enforce all safety practices and training requirements Join Us & Make a DifferenceThis is more than a jobits a mission If youre ready to be part of a culture that values innovation karma and limitless potential we want to hear from you Apply Now and Lets Build the Future Together
