Duties:
- Design, develop, and support the data tier of the Falcon Physician suite of products.
- Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews.
- Work with QA and CM teams for code build and release activities, test case design, and defect resolution.
- Provide technical support during release activities, including after-hours support.
- Provide technical support for critical defect resolution, including after-hours support.
- Work within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment supporting multiple customer groups and development teams.
- Participate in Scrum activities such as daily standups, sprint planning, and story grooming as required.
- Participate in Kanban activities such as daily standups and storyboard maintenance as required.
- Work with project managers, product managers, scrum masters, and development leads to plan, estimate, document, and report status as required.
- Quickly learn and master components of a highly complex system.
- Become a domain expert in the area of kidney care in general and the Falcon Physician data in particular.
- Demonstrate thought leadership in areas of database architecture, design, and performance tuning.
- Work with teammates with a wide variety of skills, including middle tier developers, database developers, BI developers, DBA's, solution architects, and others. Communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
Skills:
- Experience in developing applications with heavy transaction volumes and large data growth rates.
- 5+ years of experience developing applications with PL/SQL through the use of stored procedures, triggers, functions, and other Oracle constructs.
- 5+ years of database architecture/design (logical/physical), performance tuning and scaling experience with Oracle
