Job Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Part Time Assistant Teachers to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for young children. Your energy and dedication will help foster positive learning experiences and promote healthy development for children in our care.

This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in early childhood education while making a meaningful difference in children’s lives. We have AM and PM positons available. Our Morning shifts usually run from about 7:00 am to around 10/11:00AM and our PM shifts run from 2/3:00PM to 6:00PM.

Responsibilities

  • Assist lead teachers with implementing age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
  • Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, naps, and transitions to ensure safety and well-being
  • Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and following established routines
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment that stimulates learning and exploration
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding children’s daily experiences, progress, and any concerns
  • Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures and mandated reporting laws when necessary
  • Support special education needs by adapting activities to accommodate children with disabilities or developmental delays
Experience
  • Previous experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is highly preferred but not required as we do have on-site training
  • Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices are a plus
  • Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR is a plus; training will be provided to those who are not certified
  • Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
  • Strong communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with energy, patience, and enthusiasm
