About The Role We are seeking a skilled PHP Developer to join our development team at iStaff. This full-time, associate-level position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of modern web applications.

The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in PHP development, with experience working with frameworks such as Laravel or similar MVC-based architectures. You will be instrumental in building scalable, efficient, and secure backend systems while collaborating with front-end developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2–4 years of PHP development experience, with a proven track record of delivering robust web applications.
• Proficiency in PHP frameworks such as Laravel, MVC-based frameworks, or similar.
• Strong understanding of MVC architecture and object-oriented programming principles.
• Hands-on experience with Docker for containerization and Git for version control.
• Proficiency in AJAX/HTTPS requests, JSON data handling, and RESTful API integration.
• Experience working with SQL Server databases.
• Ability to utilize Postman for API testing and troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of API development, consumption, and troubleshooting.
• Good debugging, testing, and application performance optimization skills.

Nice-to-have skills include experience working within AWS environments such as EC2, S3, and RDS, exposure to cloud-based architectures, CI/CD pipelines, and familiarity with modern DevOps practices. Candidates should demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using PHP frameworks.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, UI/UX designers, and project managers to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Implement and troubleshoot RESTful APIs for third-party integrations and internal services.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Utilize Docker for containerization and manage code repositories using Git.
• Test, debug, and optimize application performance to ensure high responsiveness and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews, team meetings, and Agile development processes.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and incorporate them into ongoing projects.

Benefits iStaff offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $95,000 per year, commensurate with experience and skills.
