Platform Engineer

My client is hiring a Platform Engineer to build and scale the infrastructure powering a leading quantitative trading business. You’ll work closely with researchers, developers, and portfolio managers to develop distributed systems and support fully automated trading.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance quantitative platform infrastructure
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment systems
• Manage distributed systems, compute, and cloud infrastructure
• Collaborate with quant teams to support research and trading workflows
• Improve system performance, scalability, and reliability

Requirements

• Strong programming skills (Python, Java, or similar)
• Experience with Linux/Unix systems
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and architecture
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Familiarity with databases (SQL & NoSQL)

Nice to Have

• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform
• Knowledge of CI/CD, testing frameworks, and automation
• Exposure to quantitative finance or trading systems
