Principal Application Engineer - Java

Requirements

Must have:

- Bachelors degree in a relevant field is mandatory. - At least 7 years of experience in the HVAC industry or a related Chiller Technology sector is preferred. - Strong understanding of refrigeration systems and related equipment is essential. - Willingness to travel up to 20% for factory visits, customer interactions, and training sessions.

Responsibilities:

- Engage daily with field sales teams to provide insights on the application and installation of Chiller Solutions equipment in HVAC systems. - Offer advice on system applications and deliver innovative solutions tailored to unique customer requirements. - Contribute to crafting tools and documentation that assist field sales and automate responses to common inquiries. - Utilize internal engineering systems and documentation effectively to respond to product detail inquiries. - Aid sales teams in troubleshooting equipment, job, and code-related issues. - Maintain clear communication and follow-ups with sales personnel, design engineers, and product management to ensure customer needs are met and addressed efficiently. - Gather supplier quotes to relay cost and lead time information for special product demands. - Participate in product team meetings to strategize and implement business development initiatives. - Develop and conduct sales training programs, including on-site training and travel to field offices for specific training needs. - Mentor and support the work of other Application Engineers, Product Marketing staff, Sales Engineers, and Sales Agents. - Exhibit extensive knowledge of both JCI and competitor products, market trends, regulations, and technologies affecting the business. - Thrive in a collaborative team environment while working independently with minimal supervision. - Uphold the Companys Code of Conduct and Business Ethics standards rigorously.
