Principal Python Full-Stack Architect – AI/ML Platform (Cloud-Native)

The Opportunity

• We are seeking a visionary Technology Architect / Principal Software Engineer to join the Model Hosting Platform team. This is a pivotal role focused on designing and building an enterprise AI/ML platform portal. Your work will empower modeling teams across the organization to host AI/ML models as secure, performant, and self-service APIs.
• This role is ideal for a Full-Stack expert who specializes in Cloud-Native application development using Python and React, with a focus on creating seamless, end-to-end user experiences within an AWS ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Platform Engineering: Design and contribute to the coding, testing, and debugging of a high-performance AI/ML portal.
• Technical Leadership: Work independently to define and manage technical activities, ensuring project timelines and budgets are met while fostering quality and best practices.
• Quality Assurance: Develop comprehensive unit and integration tests; perform deep technical analysis to resolve complex issues.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Provide clear, precise communication across both technical and non-technical stakeholders to align platform capabilities with business needs.

Required Technical Expertise

• UI & Frontend Mastery: 5 years of experience in UI programming with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, Redux, HTML, and CSS. (4 years of React/React Native in production environments).
• Backend & Service Development: 5 years of experience in application service development specifically using Python.
• AWS Cloud Ecosystem: Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with AWS services, including Lambda, ECS, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway, Step Functions, SQS, IAM, and Security Groups.
• Infrastructure & DevOps: * Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
• Strong experience with microservice development patterns.
• Proven ability to configure and deploy CI/CD pipelines (GitLab).

Qualifications

• Experience: 5 years of professional development experience with a focus on end-to-end Cloud Native applications.
• Problem Solving: Excellent debugging and analytical skills.
• Compliance: Candidate must be able to pass a full Background Verification (BGV) for onboarding.

Work Environment

• Schedule: Hybrid (Onsite in Charlotte, NC).
• Project Length: This is a long-term engagement through early 2030, offering significant stability and project ownership.
