Job description

About the Role: The Process Engineer will play a critical role in optimizing and enhancing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety within our production facilities. This position involves analyzing current processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing innovative solutions that reduce waste and increase throughput. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including production, quality assurance, and maintenance to ensure seamless integration of process improvements.

They will also be responsible for developing and validating process simulations and control strategies to support scalable manufacturing operations. Ultimately, this role aims to drive continuous improvement initiatives that align with the company’s operational goals and regulatory standards.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

Proven experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of process simulation and process control methodologies.

Proficiency in statistical analysis tools, including Minitab and Design of Experiments.

Familiarity with manufacturing operations and process optimization techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.

Experience with advanced process control systems and automation.

Background in scrap reduction initiatives and lean manufacturing principles.

Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards relevant to manufacturing.

Experience working in a cross-functional team environment and leading process improvement projects.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and product quality.

Conduct process simulations and modeling to predict and enhance process performance.

Implement process control strategies and monitor key performance indicators to maintain process stability.

Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to reduce scrap and minimize production downtime.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product introductions and process scale-up activities.

Utilize statistical tools such as Minitab and Design of Experiments (DOE) to analyze data and drive process improvements.

  • Document process changes and maintain compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
