Procurement Specialist

Overview

Avalon Building Systems, a leader in modular building throughout New England, located in Canton, MA, is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Procurement Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the procurement process, ensuring that our organization acquires quality materials and services at competitive prices. This position requires expertise in sourcing, subcontractor management, and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Act as a point of contact between the company and subcontractors
• Write scope of work for bids, obtain bids
• Track all bids in BuilderTrend
• Coordinate with project Managers and team to perform review bids
• Attend weekly project meetings, provide weekly status of bids
• Execute subcontractor contracts.
• Obtain required insurance documents
• Identify potential suppliers based on project requirements

Skills

• Experience working in the procurement department in a related field
• Working knowledge of the construction industry and familiarity with building materials
• Previous experience in construction
• Strong understanding of procurement, negotiation techniques, and conflict resolution
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency with MS Office Suite
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional multi-tasking, organizational, and documentation skills

Compensation is commensurate with experience. Benefits include health insurance and paid time off. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
