Co-Producer — SAKURA (Feature Drama)
We are seeking an experienced co-producer to join the team behind SAKURA, a completed $5M feature drama targeting A24-style distribution. The script is finalized and the project is moving toward financing and packaging.
About the project
SAKURA is a character-driven drama set in the Boston area, in the tonal lineage of Aftersun, Past Lives, and All of Us Strangers.What you’ll do
Lead financing strategy and capital stack assembly, including equity, soft money, and tax credit optimization for a Massachusetts shoot. Drive packaging efforts across talent, sales agents, and distribution partners. Build and manage relationships with financiers, agencies, and production partners. Collaborate closely with the writer-director and existing producing team on greenlight strategy.Who you are
You have produced or co-produced at least one feature in the indie drama space, ideally in the $3M to $10M budget range. You have active relationships with financiers, talent agencies, and sales companies. You understand the festival-to-distribution pipeline for elevated indie work and have a track record of closing deals. Experience with Massachusetts production incentives is a strong plus.Compensation
Upfront producer fee plus back-end points. Structure negotiable based on experience and the value you bring to the package.To apply
