The Capital District YMCA serves the local community through multiple locations, including Albany, Bethlehem, Clifton Park, Guilderland, Schenectady, and Troy, among others.
This is a full-time on-site role for a Program Coordinator based in Albany, NY. The Program Coordinator will oversee daily operations of programs, ensuring they achieve their objectives while creating a welcoming and safe environment.
Responsibilities include managing program schedules, facilitating activities, coordinating with staff and volunteers, maintaining program records, and ensuring compliance with organizational guidelines and safety protocols.
The Program Coordinator will also assist in marketing efforts, community outreach, and participant engagement to foster program growth and success.
Strong organizational and program management skills, including scheduling and planning
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to work with staff, volunteers, and participants
Commitment to delivering high-quality service and fostering a welcoming, inclusive environment
Experience in community engagement and marketing to promote and grow programs
Knowledge of health and safety standards related to program facilitation and participant welfare
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in program coordination or nonprofit management
Adaptability, problem-solving ability, and a proactive approach to managing day-to-day program operations
