Program Manager – Data & Cloud

Job Title: Program Manager – Data & Cloud (Azure or GCP / Databricks)

Duration: Long - Term Contract Location: Westchester, IL

Job Summary

We are seeking a high-impact Program Manager to lead and provide oversight across multiple data and cloud transformation initiatives for client. This role will act as a pivotal connector between stakeholders, and offshore engineering teams in India, driving execution across parallel workstreams including data platform modernization, cloud migration, and new program development on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Azure.

The ideal candidate will have a strong data engineering background (preferably transitioned from software engineering), enabling them to identify risks, guide technical discussions, and ensure program success across complex, multi-platform environments.

Program

Scope The Program Manager will oversee multiple concurrent initiatives, including:

Migration and modernization initiatives on Databricks and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Azure

Development of new data programs and capabilities on GCP Enterprise data catalog implementation on GCP or Azure Emerging agentic / AI-driven data initiatives on GCP Coordination across existing ecosystems including SAP and Snowflake Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership & Oversight

Drive end-to-end program governance across multiple data and cloud workstreams Provide visibility into program health, risks, dependencies, and milestones Ensure alignment across parallel initiatives and teams Stakeholder Management (Critical)

Participate in customer planning meetings and strategic discussions Effectively escalate risks, concerns, and issues to both customer and internal leadership Translate business discussions and “hallway conversations” into clear action items for offshore teams Technical Oversight

Leverage prior data engineering / software engineering experience to: Identify delivery risks Validate architectural decisions Guide teams on best practices Ensure quality and consistency across data platforms: Databricks Google Cloud Platform Snowflake SAP Cross-Functional Coordination

Collaborate with: Engineering teams (data, platform, analytics) Business stakeholders Vendors and external partners Ensure seamless execution across distributed teams in India and client teams in the US Delivery & Execution

Track deliverables, timelines, and SLAs across programs Drive accountability across teams Ensure timely and high-quality execution of all initiatives Required Qualifications

10+ years of experience in technology programs / data engineering / software engineering Proven experience as a Program Manager or Delivery Lead in data/cloud environments Strong hands-on background in: Data Engineering (ETL, pipelines, data platforms) Cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Prior experience working with: Databricks Snowflake SAP
