Project Engineer

We're Hiring:

Project Engineer | Los Alamos National Laboratory (Onsite)

Los Alamos National Laboratory is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support critical projects within the Plutonium Facility (PF-4). This role is hands-on, highly visible, and involved from concept through closeout, directly supporting the nation's nuclear security mission.

As a Project Engineer, you'll work side-by-side with facility users, design engineers, system engineers, and construction teams to develop, review, and implement technical solutions that improve facility performance, reliability, and safety.

What You'll Do

• Lead technical scope development and engineering execution across the full project lifecycle
• Champion design development and formal reviews (30/60/90%)
• Interface with internal teams and subcontractors to deliver compliant, high-quality designs
• Manage engineering change control and ensure alignment with user needs
• Own project closeout and technical documentation per LANL requirements

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (ABET-accredited)
• 6+ years of project or facility engineering experience
• Strong background leading multidisciplinary engineering efforts
• Experience with formal design reviews and technical documentation
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Clearance
