Sevan Multi Site Solutions is a veteran owned business that provides construction program management real estate & site development and architecture & engineering services for restaurant grocery fuel and convenience store retail and government sectors nationwide We work with leading brands like McDonalds Starbucks Sprouts and BP to name a few At Sevan we provide the talent technology and trusted expertise needed to consistently deliver excellence in multi site construction Sevan is nationally recognized for workplace culture industry leadership and safety Recent honors include 12 consecutive years as a Great Place to Work placement on ENRs national Program and Construction Management rankings recognition as one of Americas Safest Companies for 2025 and the 2025 Platinum HIRE Vets Medallion Award Sevans Project Engineer Estimating is a key part of our Construction Services team that supports both preconstruction and project delivery efforts This position is ideal for recent graduates or early career professionals seeking to build a foundation in construction estimating project management and commercial construction operations The Project Engineer assists with quantity takeoffs subcontractor bid solicitation cost analysis and estimate preparation while also supporting Project Managers throughout the construction lifecycle This role provides exposure to the full project process from preconstruction and bidding through project execution and closeout This is a full time position based our of our office in Plano TX Dallas Fort Worth area Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist with the preparation of conceptual budgetary and detailed construction estimates for retail restaurant fuel convenience store and commercial projectsPerform quantity takeoffs from construction drawings specifications and project documentsReview plans and specifications to identify scope requirements project risks and potential cost impactsSolicit collect and analyze subcontractor and supplier bids to support estimate development and bid submissionsAssist with bid leveling scope comparisons and subcontractorvendor selection recommendationsSupport the preparation of proposals bid packages budgets value engineering analyses and other preconstruction deliverablesMaintain subcontractor supplier labor and material cost databases and support market pricing researchAssist Project Managers with project planning scheduling procurement and construction coordination activitiesAttend project meetings and document key discussions action items and project updatesTrack project budgets committed costs change orders and procurement activities throughout the project lifecycleSupport change management efforts by assisting with pricing requests cost analysis and change order documentationMaintain project documentation including RFIs submittals drawing logs meeting minutes contracts and project correspondenceCoordinate and track the distribution of project documents to ensure all parties are working from current revisionsAssist with subcontractor onboarding scope reviews contract administration and compliance trackingMonitor procurement and delivery schedules for materials equipment and long lead itemsSupport site teams by helping resolve project issues and facilitating communication between clients consultants subcontractors and internal stakeholdersAssist with project reporting cost forecasting and project closeout documentationCoordinate collection of as built drawings warranties operation and maintenance manuals and other turnover deliverablesDevelop an understanding of Sevans project delivery processes estimating best practices and construction management standardsPerform additional duties and special projects as assignedQualifications Bachelors degree in Construction Management Construction Science Construction Engineering Civil Engineering Architecture or a related field1 3 years related experience andor training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience with or willingness to learn estimating and construction management software such as BuildingConnected Procore Smartsheet Bluebeam On Screen Takeoff PlanSwift or similar platformsStrong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detailExcellent organizational communication and problem solving abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environmentOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred or ability to obtainProficiency in Microsoft Excel Outlook and other Microsoft Office applicationsPreferred Qualifications Internship or co op experience with a general contractor construction manager developer or consulting firmExperience reviewing construction drawings and performing quantity takeoffsExposure to retail restaurant fuel convenience store grocery or multi site construction projectsFamiliarity with estimating principles construction costs and subcontractor procurement Work Conditions & Travel This is a hybrid in office role out of our office in Plano TX with national travel 10 20 A highly collaborative environment that flourishes when individual and team contributions combine to achieve target goals and objectives Must be flexible adaptable and able to work with fluid schedules and working conditions Regularly required to sit;
