About The Role As a Project Engineer you will serve as the central driver for capital and maintenance projects, steering them from initial scope development through to final commissioning. This role offers the opportunity to manage the full project lifecycle, where you will provide technical oversight, lead multi-disciplinary teams, and ensure high-quality execution of complex engineering designs. You will act as a vital link between stakeholders, vendors, and construction teams, making a direct impact on the efficiency and safety of large-scale refining operations.

Here’s a Glimpse Into Your Day To Day Oversight, coordination and execution of capital and maintenance projects from inception to turnover to user groups, including project scoping, preliminary and detailed design and review, CAPEX document development and approval, construction/installation, commissioning, startup and qualification.
Design oversight and compliance with industry practices and guidelines. Management and successful execution of multiple projects using client procedures and industry best practices to the agreed upon scope, schedule, budget and technical quality. Coordinate all technical activities on assigned projects.
Responsible for having an awareness of and ability to recognize technical problems. Oversight of design packages and specifications, RFPs, design review, vendor/contractor selection, constructability reviews, approval of submittals, and preparation and oversight of validation and regulatory submissions. Coordinate reviews and checking of engineering deliverables.
Coordinate the efforts of engineering support groups and external resources such as vendors, consultants and contractors. Conduct project meetings and effective communications with user group and project stake holders. Prepare detailed project cost estimates and schedules.
Oversight of engineering calculations and analysis related to process design and equipment selections. Define project scope and develop preliminary engineering drawings such as layouts, P&IDs, and PFDs. You’ll Be a Perfect Fit If You Have Minimum 4 years of Project Engineering/Project Management Experience Required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering Preferred Background in oil/refining, petro-chem, chemicals, etc. highly preferred Compensation And Benefits Pay: $120,000-140,000 annually (depending on experience) Annual Profit Sharing Bonus (variable) PTO and Paid Holidays Health Benefits: Employee through family level coverage for medical, dental, and vision insurances.
