The Role
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using Python and FastAPI.
- Build scalable REST APIs for cloud-native financial applications, supporting real-time market data ingestion.
- Develop backend services and APIs for a greenfield Portfolio Management System.
- Integrate with Bloomberg and other third-party market data providers.
- Implement API throttling, rate limiting, caching, and fault-tolerant data ingestion mechanisms.
- Optimize application performance, cloud resource utilization, and system scalability, deploying on Microsoft Azure.
What You'll Need
- 5+ years of experience in backend software development with strong Python programming skills.
- Proven experience developing REST APIs using FastAPI or similar Python frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Bloomberg API integration.
- Strong understanding of backend application architecture and distributed systems.
- Expertise in SQL and PostgreSQL, with experience in designing scalable data models.
- Cloud development experience, particularly with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
