Python Data Engineer x 2 – 6 months Contract to hire. Remote

They still need strong Data Engineers who are hands on in Python with emphasis on GCP, BigQuery, and API skills. Awesome work here team and a couple more wins for us to track down.

Responsibilities

• Build data marts and mini data warehouses using the GCP stack, dealing with large volumes of claims data and performing aggregations.
• Work with transaction data, facts, and aggregations.
• Develop the provider portal interface and Python APIs to read analytics databases such as BigQuery (and potentially AWS).
• Collaborate with multiple teams to consolidate data, define metrics (e.g., claims paid), and supplement domain expertise where needed.
• Automate data ingestion and migration from source systems to the data environment.
• Assist in the development and deployment of AI use cases related to data pipelines.

Qualifications

• Strong hands‑on Python programming.
• Experience with Spark/PySpark and Scala/Spark on Dataproc.
• Proficiency with GCP services: BigQuery, Dataproc, Cloud Functions, GKE, Cloud SQL (or other relational cloud DBs).
• Experience working with denormalized and unstructured data.
• Knowledge of building REST APIs in Python.
• Prior experience in data warehousing and building data warehouses.
• Experience with fact tables and aggregations.
• Background in provider/claim data is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI / ML pipeline building is a plus.
