Requirements
Must have:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 7 years of related experience, or a Masters degree with at least 5 years of related experience - Proficient in back-end development with Python, SQLAlchemy, and PostgreSQL - Strong expertise in modern web application development, particularly with JavaScript, TypeScript, and ReactJS - Demonstrated history of developing and maintaining data-intensive applications - Solid understanding of SQL and query languages - Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, capable of collaborating effectively with scientists, developers, analysts, and IT teams - Strong time management skills with the ability to work independently
Responsibilities:
- Design, enhance, and sustain web applications and data visualizations to assist scientific research - Collaborate within a cross-functional team to provide scalable and adaptable web solutions - Create, implement, and maintain databases for data-centric web applications - Engage directly with researchers and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, prototype, test, and iterate - Manage, prepare, and tune data for analytics and visualization purposes - Apply secure development practices and contribute to code reviews ensuring quality and compliance - Promote continuous improvement through thoughtful problem-solving and innovation
