Remote Coding Instructor

• Code Super Powers has paid internships for Technology Instructors. This position may require travel to different program locations in Prince Georges County Maryland, Anne Arundel Maryland and Washington D.C. Remote work is also available.

Seeking candidates with knowledge of coding fundamentals. Gaming experience with Minecraft and/or Roblox coding is preferred. Extensive hands-on training is provided. Ideal for college students who excel in STEM subjects. Receive work-study and/or college credit, while getting paid to do what you love.

• Code Super Powers* is known for fun and engaging game-based STEM learning. Children have fun coding drones through aerial combat missions, building custom video games, apps and more. The STEM Team develops and delivers training to students in grades K-12 and academic customers on-site, at conferences, and workshops. They strive to enhance customer success by delivering engaging, practical, and user-friendly training tutorials and materials.

Topics range from 3D Game Building, Animation, Roblox Coding, Minecraft Modding, Robotics and Drone Extreme Stunts. Prior computer coding experience is preferred, and a willingness to learn new coding skills is required. Our innovative curriculum is self-paced, so students are able to drive their own projects. Instructors guide, motivate, and foster a fun and creative environment.

• *Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.
• Passionate about teaching children, in a fun and engaging manner
• High energy, enthusiastic and comfortable engaging with parents and students
• Can co-teach the course curriculum and train for independent teaching
• Participate in team meetings and group project reviews
• All other responsibilities assigned by management
• Able to mentor and manage groups of students in grades K-8
• Greet and engage with students to build supportive relationships
• Help students with projects. Provide encouragement and confidence
• Help prepare virtual or physical rooms before each class, and clean up after class

• Reliable transportation
• Reliable high-speed internet and a computer with webcam
• Able to travel to afterschool program sites
• Assimilate technical and academic information quickly
• Think flexibly and employ innovative solutions
• Take initiative to solve problems creatively
• Work on a variety of tasks, shift easily from one task to another, and complete in a timely manner
• Organize and prioritize his/her work
• Highly trainable and open to feedback and direction
