Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong expertise in test automation, SQL, Python, and Java. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks, validating software applications, and ensuring high-quality software delivery.

The candidate should have strong programming skills, database testing experience, and hands-on experience with automation tools and testing methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Python and Java.
• Develop and execute automation frameworks for functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Perform database testing using SQL queries, stored procedures, and data validation techniques.
• Write complex SQL queries to validate backend data and database operations.
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to identify and resolve software defects.
• Perform API testing and validate RESTful services.
• Execute functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
• Identify, document, track, and troubleshoot software defects.
• Integrate automated test scripts into CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Analyze test results and provide detailed test execution reports.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with SDET and software test automation.
• Strong programming knowledge in Python and Java.
• Excellent SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, subqueries, and stored procedures.
• Experience with Selenium WebDriver, Pytest, JUnit, or TestNG.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
• Strong understanding of manual and automation testing methodologies.
• Experience with database testing and backend validation.
• Knowledge of Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture.
• Experience with test automation framework development.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.

Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
