Requirements
Must have:
- We require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance or comparable federal background investigation and PIV credential.
- We are seeking someone with 5+ years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, cloud engineering, AI, data engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
- We value experience leading technical workstreams, mentoring colleagues, or coordinating cross-functional efforts across engineering, cybersecurity, data, and program teams.
- We need strong executive-level communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts, risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- We are looking for experience supporting large-scale digital transformation, modernization, or enterprise systems integration initiatives.
- We prefer hands-on experience with at least one of the following: AI or machine learning tools, cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, automation and APIs, DevSecOps or CI/CD pipelines, or data platforms and enterprise integrations.
- We expect familiarity with Agile development environments.
- We need strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving abilities.
- We value the ability to learn rapidly and adapt in evolving technical environments.
- We prefer experience supporting federal government clients, regulated industries, or highly secure enterprise settings.
- We welcome familiarity with AI governance, responsible AI principles, or secure AI deployment practices.
- We value exposure to machine learning engineering, AI integration workflows, or enterprise AI modernization efforts.
- We are interested in candidates who are enthusiastic about emerging technologies and applied AI engineering.
Responsibilities:
- We design, develop, and deploy AI-enabled solutions within enterprise and federal technology environments.
- We contribute to modernization programs that combine AI, automation, cloud engineering, and digital transformation.
- We integrate AI capabilities into enterprise systems, operational workflows, and platform ecosystems.
- We build and maintain secure, scalable software and infrastructure using modern engineering methods.
- We participate in Agile and DevSecOps delivery practices with a focus on security, performance, and reliability.
- We support data engineering, automation, API integrations, and AI-driven workflows across enterprise systems.
- We collaborate with engineering, operations, cybersecurity, and program stakeholders to solve complex technical challenges.
- We help assess emerging AI technologies and modernization strategies for mission-critical and operational use cases.
- We work to improve interoperability, data integrity, and modernization outcomes across cloud and legacy environments.

In this full-time Senior AI Engineer role, we are hiring for our Washington DC Metro Area presence, and candidates should be based within a reasonable commuting distance of Washington, DC, ideally within 90 minutes. This is an in-person position with a competitive salary of up to $195,000 per year.
