Senior Analytics Engineer - SQL, Python

Requirements

Must have:

- 3 to 5 years of experience in Analytics Engineering or Data Engineering, specifically in building production-grade data pipelines. - Strong product mindset, treating data models as software with focus on modularity, DRY principles, and minimizing technical debt. - Expertise in dbt, including snapshots, incremental models, and optimization of DAGs for efficiency. - Advanced proficiency in SQL, understanding execution plans and partitioning for scalable code. - Proficiency in Python for data manipulation (using Pandas/Polars) and REST API interactions. - In-depth knowledge of data modeling techniques and the ability to assess the best approaches for various data structures. - Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git, including branching strategies and collaborative development.

Responsibilities:

- Lead the architecture and development of our dbt project, ensuring optimized and modular transformations. - Design and execute robust data warehouse structures that accurately reflect logistics data needs. - Manage full-stack data engineering tasks, creating custom extractors using Python to streamline data ingestion. - Optimize data interface between our data warehouse and business intelligence tools for enhanced performance. - Implement software engineering best practices in analytics, including CI/CD pipeline management and automated data quality monitoring.
