Senior Data Engineer

A global independent investment management firm, with over US$1.3 trillion in assets under management, is seeking a talented technologist to help build and evolve its innovative, industry-leading technology platform. This company offers comprehensive investment management capabilities that span nearly all segments of the global capital markets, serving institutional clients and mutual fund sponsors across 50+ countries.

The Role

• Design, build, and scale data-driven solutions for Science Analysts, particularly in the Equity space.
• Work within the Science Research Technology team to enhance data platform capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, researchers, and business partners.
• Develop, deploy, and test solutions in cloud environments, specifically AWS.
• Optimize and performance-tune high-volume data pipelines.
• Drive solutions independently in a fast-paced, mission-critical Agile setting.

What You'll Need

• Strong experience in Data Science and programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows (e.g., Airflow, Glue).
• Proficiency with cloud platforms, especially AWS (S3, Lambda, Batch).
• Experience with modern data architectures like Snowflake, DataBricks, or Fabric.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, data governance, and metadata management best practices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, Docker, and modern software engineering practices.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
