Senior Data Engineer, Python & SQL

Requirements

Must have:

- Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science, statistics, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience) - Over 4 years of experience in data management areas, including data integration, modeling, optimization, and data quality - Minimum 4 years of collaboration experience within cross-functional teams and working with business stakeholders on data management and analytics initiatives - Proficient in using data preparation tools and database programming languages - Strong experience with advanced analytics tools and hands-on data testing - Familiar with data engineering tools such as Glue, Lambda, Athena, and AWS - Knowledgeable about business intelligence (BI) software tools - Experienced with both open-source and commercial data science platforms - Willingness to learn new technologies in a practical environment - Previous experience in financial services is preferred

Responsibilities:

- Design, create, and maintain effective data pipelines - Support the modernization of data management infrastructure to enhance automation in data integration - Collaborate with data science teams and business analysts to refine data requirements for various initiatives - Train team members across the organization on data pipelining and preparation techniques - Collaborate with data governance teams to vet and promote content for the curated data catalog - Effectively communicate complex results to both technical and non-technical audiences - Work efficiently in team settings as well as independently while managing multiple tasks within tight timelines - Exhibit strategic and outcome-focused thinking - Maintain a professional image and build relationships across different functions
