Must have:
- 4+ years of relevant experience in data science - Bachelors Degree in a related field - Profound understanding of modern machine learning, pattern recognition, and data mining techniques - Ability to apply scientific principles in data modeling, analytics, predictive algorithms, and other data science methodologies - Strong analytical skills with a solid background in programming languages (R, SAS, Python, SQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL) - Experience in creating dashboards and visualizations using Power BI to uncover trends and offer key business insights - Capable of exercising judgment in selecting appropriate methods and evaluation criteria for achieving objectives - Masters degree in a quantitative discipline, preferred (e.g., computer science, engineering, statistics) - Familiarity with data warehousing, data modeling, ETL processes, and SQL - Previous experience with tools and technologies like Spark, Clojure, Hive, Pig, Redshift, is advantageous - Knowledge of big-data architecture, operating systems, and big-data analytics tools - Ability to navigate complex issues requiring thorough evaluation of multiple factors - Broad awareness of various technical options and their business implications
Responsibilities:
- Oversee, plan, coordinate, and manage data science projects of medium to advanced complexity that have significant scope and importance - Identify and convey the business needs of the medical device sector to relevant stakeholders, ensuring that data science initiatives align with both short and long-term objectives - Communicate findings and results from data science projects to diverse audiences, including senior leadership, and prepare comprehensive reports - Foster strong working relationships with internal and external partners, acting respectfully and tactfully when discussing different perspectives - Collaborate with senior management on crucial matters, often coordinating activities across various organizational units
