Cookwise is a fast-growing app that makes cooking smarter, easier, and more enjoyable. We provide personalized recipes, meal planning tools, and kitchen tips to empower home cooks and food enthusiasts. As we scale, we’re seeking a highly skilled Senior Fullstack Developer to help build and optimize our platform across both front-end and back-end systems.
The Senior Fullstack Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Cookwise’s web and mobile applications. This role requires expertise in both front-end (JavaScript, React) and back-end technologies, ensuring seamless integration and performance across the stack.
- *Key Responsibilities**
- **Fullstack Development**
: Architect, build, and maintain scalable applications using JavaScript, React, Node.js, and related technologies.
- **API Design & Integration**
: Develop and optimize RESTful and GraphQL APIs for smooth communication between front-end and back-end systems.
: Design and maintain efficient database structures (SQL/NoSQL) to support app functionality.
: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code; conduct code reviews and enforce best practices.
- **Performance Optimization**
: Ensure applications are fast, secure, and responsive across devices.
: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver seamless features.
: Guide junior developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
- *Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in fullstack development.
- Strong expertise in JavaScript, React, Node.js, and modern frameworks.
- Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and testing frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
