Senior Java Backend Developer

The Role

• Design, develop, and support enterprise-grade APIs and cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform
• Build a new payments API platform using scalable microservices and event-driven architectures
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, product owners, and stakeholders on integration solutions
• Develop software in an Agile environment leveraging DevOps practices, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code
• Implement automated testing strategies including unit, integration, and performance testing
• Serve as a technical mentor and provide guidance on application architecture and cloud-native best practices

What You'll Need

• 7+ years of software development experience building enterprise applications and APIs
• 5+ years of Java development experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Maven, and Gradle
• Proven experience building and deploying cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform
• Expertise with GKE, Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices architectures
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and event-driven integrations with Apache Kafka or similar platforms
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, resiliency patterns, scalability, and performance optimization
